Pokok ini adalah jenis pohon kecil. Bunganya berwarna putih dengan mata kuning. Pokok ini biasa dijumpai di tepi sungai dan pantai. Getah dan bijinya mengandungi racun. Kulit kayu, daun dan minyad dari bijinya diguna sebagai ubatan asli. Ada sejenis bunga lagi yang berwarna putih dengan mata merah, iaitu "Cerbera manghas L.".

This is a small tree. The flowers are white with yellow eye. This plant are common along riverside and sea shores. The latex and seeds are poisonous. The bark, leaves and oil extracted from the seeds are used in native medicine. Another related species is the "Cerbera manghas L." having white flowers with red eye.
