Pokok ini adalah sejenis tumbuhan renek gunung yang pendik. Ia biasa di jumpai hidup sebagai epifit atas pohon pokok atau hidup atas batu-batan. Daunnya lebih kecil dan bersisik bila dibandingkan dengan Rhododendron Gunung. Bunganya juga lebih pendik.

This plant is a short mountain bush. It is common usually as an epiphyte or on rocks. Leaves are smaller and scaly when compared with the Mountain Rhododendron. The flowers shorter too.
