Pokok ini sama keluarga dengan pokok helia. Tingginya lebihkurang 2.5 meter. Sejenis helia hutan yang besar pokoknya. Bunganya tidak jauh dari permukaan tanah.
This plant belongs to the same family as the ginger plant. It's height is about 2.5 meter. The plant of this jungle ginger is tall and stout. It's flower is just above the ground surface.
