Biasanya pokok ini membiak secara menjalar dengan rizomnya, tetapi ia juga boleh membiak daripada biji benih.Ini adalah satu contoh tumbuhan tempatan di mana pembiakan dengan biji benih boleh memastikan anaknya dapat membiak jauh daripada rumpun induknya.

Usually this plant spreads by sending out runner rhizomes, however it can also propogate itself through seeds. This is an example of a local plant where propogation through its seeds can help in dispersing the new plants further away from the parent claster of plants.
