Orville "Matt" Dixon WINCHESTER - Orville "Matt" Dixon, 57, Shalamar Rue, husband of Linda Dixon, died at 11 pm Fri., Jan. 14, 2005 at his home. A native of Fayette County, he was the son of the late Orville D. and Dorothy Lyons Dixon. He was retired from the Winchester Police Department, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police where he was past president and state trustee. For several years he made sports photos and mugs for area sports teams. Additional survivors include a son, Todd Dixon, Winchester; two grandchildren, Alex and Matthew Dixon, both of Winchester; a stepbrother, Robert Charles Dixon, and a number of special aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be conducted at 1 pm Tues. at Scobee Funeral Home by Jerry Huffman. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Berl Perdue Jr., Keith Mullikin, Mike Wattenburger, Ken Donta, Donald Lyons and Lewis Hall; honorary members of the Winchester Police Department and Bill Hannah, John Hannah, Jerry Stephenson and Johnny Graves.
