Barren River Region Foster /Adoptive Parent Association

                          Purpose and Objectives:
1. To promote close contact and exchange of ideas and experiences between Foster / Adoptive parents and all others interested in enhancing Foster/Adoptive care.
2. To promote a better community understanding of Foster/Adoptive and of Foster Children
3. To encourage training and education of personal for work in the field of Foster Care.
4. To encourage the recruitment and retention of Foster Home
5. To advocate for those Children at risk and those whom are in Out-of-Home care.
6. To work under the mission and goals of the KFACA for improvement of the Foster/Adoptive care programs.
         
                                

The Barren River Region Foster / Adoptive Parent Association  consists of  a ten(10) county region in Kentucky, the counties that are included are:

The network team helps train and suppost foster / adoptive parent in a time of crisis they are here to help in anyway they can. They can offer a ear to listen, help in finding the resources that you my need.
 
Network meeting are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month  at the Department for Protection and Permanancy in Bowling Green Kentucky from 10:00AM to 12:00 noon. All are welcome to attend.

The Barren River Region Foster / Adoptive Parent Association meets quaterly:
the R & C Staff ,Department Supervisors, and  the presidents of all local Association meet to celebrate our success and work on are weakness. We discuss concerns of Foster Parents and Staff. We discuss the strenghths of Staff and Foster Parents. If you have anyting that you would like to be brought to the attention of Staff and / or Foster Parents  please contact your Association President or R& C Staff. Our next scheduled meeting will be May 11, 2005. Place and time will be posted at a later date.
