Bankruptcy is of
course not a laughing matter itself. But the Fantastic Four have been through this huge
woe life can offer so many times, it has practically become a cliche of their comic
series!
10. The Richards decide that the time has
come for a family vacation in Vegas! (Reed can frequently be heard shouting, "Come
on, Daddy needs new test tubes!" at his computer Craps game.)
9. All of their allies and villains receive
peculiar notes advertising Western Union and its support of the FFF (Fantastic Four Fund).
(Those who are stupid enough to not realize what the first two Fs represent will
probably think it is a new wrestling federation.)
8. They open up a chain of stores called
"Pier Four Imports". (They would have Pier One beat in the unique and exotic
items department alright...)
7. Johnny begins to sell everyday items that
he and his friends use to tourists. (Being the prankster he is, Johnny would probably hawk
among other things his friends underwear.)
6. Ben would start micro brewing
"Benny-Beer" to sell in the Baxter Buildings souvenir shop. (It would
actually be called "Benweiser", but either way you cut it, it would be a corny
name.)
5. For one week, the Fantastic Four are the
cast on "Whose Line Is It Anyway"! (Drew Carey would immediately find out he
could put up with the jokes directed at him and his own show more than this new cast!)
4. They rent out their furniture, equipment,
and building to... Wait! Thats already been done!
3. Four words: Fantastic Four, the Album!
(Besides their lovely covers of classic songs such as "Papa Ooo Mow Mow",
"My Sharona", and "Plastic Fantastic Lover", along with Reed and
Sues stirring rendition of "Mockingbird", there would be an added bonus of
Reed doing poetic song lyric recitals!)
2. The Fantastic Four decide to hire
themselves out to Dr. Doom. (He of course would make them say "We do windows."
even though his castles windows dont hold one pane of glass.)
And the number one sign the Fantastic Four
are bankrupt once again is...
1. Reed alters his appearance so he can
appear as often as he can on "Jeopardy!" and "Who Wants To Be A
Millionaire"!
