How to deal with evil thoughts from
the Devil and his demons By John Chopores To lie is part of the nature of the Devil and his demons! Cf. Revelation 12:9 And the great
dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth
the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast
out with him. 1 Kings 22:22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he
said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all
his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth,
and do so. You will notice, that the Devil, can give visions! Cf. Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power
will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to
whomsoever I will I give it. So, we are to test the spirit(s), by the Bible,
and the voice of the Holy Spirit! Cf.1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether
they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the
Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the
flesh is of God: 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that
confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this
is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and
even now already is it in the world. 1 John 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and
ye know all things. Also,
he can speak directly to a person! Cf. Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any
beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an
exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the
glory of them; Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I
give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Satan wants us to think that God will not help us! The Devil (Satan) is an "accuser" of us.
Cf. Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud
voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of
our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is
cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin
for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand
now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. If Satan can get us to think that God
does not love and want to help us, we will be helpless! Cf. Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his
bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. The Bible says, that God loves us! Cf. John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world that He gave
His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life. 17 "For God did not send His
Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be
saved. 18 "He who believes in Him
is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because
he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 14:21 He that
hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that
loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and
will manifest myself to him. And wants to help us! Cf. Psalms 103:11 For
as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them
that fear him.
Evil spirits know a lot about the Bible, Christ and other
things. Cf. JAM 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the
devils also believe, and tremble. (KJV) [We see here, that the demons fear
Christ!]. MAR 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with
thee, Jesus, {thou} Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that
thou torment me not. (KJV) 1TI 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some
shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines
of devils; (KJV) ACT 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and
Paul I know; but who are ye? (KJV) Satan knows a lot more than humans and is
"cunning"! Cf. Gen. 3:1 ¶ Now the serpent was more cunning than any
beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman,
"Has God indeed said, `You shall not eat of every tree of the
garden'?" 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent
deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder!
For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. However, God is all knowing! Cf. Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Romans 11:33 ¶ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and
knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past
finding out! Sometimes Satan will try and get other people to put evil
thoughts into your mind. Cf. 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that
are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in
him. 1 John 2:16 For all that is in
the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:17 And the world passeth
away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. We can deal with this by keeping our minds on God. Cf. 1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God
of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind:
for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of
the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of
thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. Satan will work read hard, to keep people from seeing the
truth! Cf. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the
god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest
the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should
shine unto them. [god, with a small "g".]. But Christ will open the minds of all who come to and receive
Him! Cf. 2
Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were
blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading
of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. Satan and his evil spirits rule, the unsaved people of this
world. Cf. John 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall
the prince of this world be cast out. John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for
the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to
the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the
air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: But, the born-again person has God the Holy Spirit living in
him/her to help overcome Satan and his demons! Cf. John 14:23 Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:15 ¶ If ye
love me, keep my commandments. John 14:21 He that
hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that
loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest
myself to him. John 14:17 Even the Spirit
of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither
knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in
you. The saved, born-again are not of this world. Cf. John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I
am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this
world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that
I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 1 Corinthians 1:20
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this
world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1 Corinthians 2:6 ¶ Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that
are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this
world, that come to nought: 1 Corinthians
3:19 For the wisdom of this world is
foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own
craftiness. Yes, we live in,
this world, but we are not "of" it. Cf.
To be "of" this world will make a person spiritually weak! Cf. Mark 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the
deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke
the word, and it becometh unfruitful. The real fight of the Christian is not with humans, but with
spirits! Cf. Ephesians 6:12 For
we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. If we stand fast in the Lord, we are promised a Kingdom!
Cf. James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved
brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs
of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? Revelation 11:15 And
the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The
kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ;
and he shall reign for ever and ever.
