History books

1 Samuel 10:10  When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

God comes down to meet us at our earthy state. That is why God the Son (Jesus Christ) became a man. Cf. 1 Timothy 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

1 Samuel 11:6  Then the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard this news, and his anger was greatly aroused.

1 Samuel 19:20  Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

1 Samuel 19:23  So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

No man can “prophesied” rightly, without the Spirit of God on him. Cf.Num.12: 6  Then He said, "Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

1Sa 16:13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

The “Spirit” did not just come upon David, once and then leave.

1Ki 18:12 "And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD will carry you to a place I do not know; so when I go and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will kill me. But I your servant have feared the LORD from my youth.

God the Spirit: can physically transport a human being to any place.  Cf. Ac 8:39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.

Re 4:2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

2 Chronicles 15:1 ¶ Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded.

2 Chronicles 24:20  Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, "Thus says God: `Why do you transgress the commandments of the LORD, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the LORD, He also has forsaken you.'"

The spirit of God: is the Spirit of true prophecies.

Ezr 1:1 ¶ Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

God’s spirit can easily communicate with any other spirit: whether it be Angel, demon, or the human spirit. Cf. Da 2:1 ¶ Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.
