How to get wisdom and what it will do for you

Wisdom, will take care, of those who love it! Cf. Pr 4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Pr 4:6  Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Wisdom can make your name great! Cf.  De 4:5  Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.

De 4:6  Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

How do we get, Wisdom?
1. By studying the Bible. Cf. 2Ti 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2. By prayer. Cf. 1Ki 3:9  Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

1Ki 3:10  And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.

1Ki 3:11  And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;

1Ki 3:12  Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

3. We must be willing to use Wisdom, for God’s works! Cf. 2Ti 3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. De 4:5  Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
