Obituary -"OTIS S. SMITH
A lifelong resident of Portland, Otis S. Smith, 3535 S.E. Alder street, died Saturday of a heart attack, following a two-year illness. He was 61.
Mr. Smith was born November 11, 1893 in the Sunnyside district of Portland, and resided there until his death. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Riverview Abbey mausoleum, with arrangements by Davy Sunnyside Funeral Home.
In 1915 Mr. Smith was married to Miss Helen J. Case, who survives. He was the father of three children: Robert E. Smith, Bladensburg, Md.; Donald L. Smith, Portland, and Mrs. Margaret L. Glover, Salem. Also surviving are two sisters, Mabel Staub and Elsie M. Smith, Portland; a brother, Chester A. Smith, Berkeley, Cal., and eight gandchildren.
Mr. Smith was an employe of Portland General Electric company for more than 35 years. A gospel singer, he was a soloist for the Gideon society and for Central Bible church, of which he was a member."
