From the Floating Log at Frogmorton

The Ballad of Sam and Frodo (to the tune of the ballad of John and Yoko)

Standing on a cliff looking eastward
Trying to find a way down the face
Frodo said right, we're gonna climb down tonight
'Cause I begrudge every minute we waste

Galadriel it ain't easy.
In fact a hobbit could cuss
The way things are going
They're gonna Nazgul-ize us.

Finally made it through to the Black Gate
Found it thick with orcs in steel caps
Gollum he said, we can go westward instead
And you can scale Cirith Ungol "perhaps"

Galadriel it ain't easy.
In fact a hobbit could cuss
The way things are going
They're gonna Nazgul-ize us.

Frodo acted weird on the bridge then
We climbed up stairs and stairs without cease
Gollum that sneak said whatcha doing asleep?
I said we're only trying to get us some peace

Galadriel it ain't easy.
In fact a hobbit could cuss
The way things are going
They're gonna Nazgul-ize us.

Saving up my lembas for the master
Throwing most our clothes down a crack
Then one evening I said well I guess we'll be dead
And there'll be no need to make our way back-- think!
Stumbled down the wreck of Orodruin
In a state of dehydration and shock
Gwaihir looked down and with his beak in a frown
He said, "They look like two dead orcs on a rock."

Well it sure wasn't easy.
In fact a hobbit could cuss
The way things were going
I thought they'd Nazgul-ize us.

Eagles flew us out to Cormallen
Spending fourteen days in the sack
The Strider we'd known put us up on a throne
And said, "It's good to have the both of you back."

Well it sure wasn't easy.
In fact a hobbit could cuss
The way things were going
I thought they'd Nazgul-ize us.
