HeyJude writes: "This was the third of three January shows featuring Brian Wilson’s (still) 40th Anniversary “Pet Sounds” show, with “Special Guest” Al Jardine. The setlist for this show seems to be the same as the previous two nights, and nearly the same as the November shows. Gary Griffin was not at this show, though he apparently did play at the other two. The most unique aspect of this night was a third Beach Boy joining in for the encore! Ricky Fataar played drums on “Johnny B. Goode” and “Help Me Rhonda”, and stayed on stage joining Nelson Bragg on percussion for the rest of the encore numbers. Al’s voice was quite strong, it’s too bad he didn’t get to sing more leads. As usual, he came on stage several songs into the show, starting with his lead on “Then I Kissed Her.”"

Wayne Tonkin writes: "This sold out show was heralded as the last scheduled performance of Pet Sounds by Brian Wilson and his band. The set list differs little from the November 2006 Pet Sounds tour shows. This was the third show in three nights, the band seemed rushed and Brian seemed antsy to get though the set. Brian sang well however and Al Jardines voice was in fine form and very apparent in the sound mix. Appearing for the first encore was Ricky Fataar, early 70's Beach Boys drummer and Scott Mathews, a close friend of Carl Wilson and always an encore drummer during most Bay Area shows in the 80's and 90's."

Denise Stempien writes: "Brian was more chatty with the audience than the first show at Royce Hall. Al was in fine form and Ricky Fataar joined the band during the Encore."
