C-Man writes: "Probably the only performance ever of 'A Day In The Life Of A Tree'. The Boys coaxed Brian out from the side of the stage to play organ while Jack Rieley sang it. They were going to do 'Heroes and Villains', but had to shorten the set because the Long Beach Police were going to turn the power off at a certain time. At the end of the main set, following 'Surf's Up', Jack Rieley comes onstage and announces they have just enough time to do two more before the plug is pulled, so instead of leaving and coming back for an encore, they just stay on stage and do the last two. The high vocal part on the end of 'Fun Fun Fun' is performed exactly 25 times tonight (I counted 'em!). Brian may have joined in for that, but Rob isn't sure. Contrary to what is written in Keith Badman's book, 'Surfer Girl' is not performed tonight."
