These are the famous 1967 "670" heads. They are the first year to use the large 2.11-1.77 valves, but they still employed the closed chamber design. It is supposed that the ports of this head are slightly better in respect to velocity compared to later heads. Many people swear by them, others have them opened up to mimic the later chamber design. Note the cast in tube just above the exhaust ports and just under the valve cover lip. This is for smog pumps. You can see on later heads where this was deleted.
