Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. Like Gohan, he is half Saiyan and half earthling. He is very strong.

Goten learned his martial arts mostly from his mother, and a little from his father, Goku, and his brother, Gohan . He became best friends with Trunks who was one year older than him. Everyday, Chi-chi would go to Bulma and Vegeta's house and she would bring Goten along. Goten had no choice, but to be good friends with him.

At the age of 5, Goten became a Super Saiyan faster than anyone.

He showed a lot of potential to become a strong fighter like his father. But he was too lazy to train and become one. He would rather play with Trunks, eat, and sleep all day.
