My Life in Elsmere, Kenton County,KY
I was born in 1967 and lived on Bullitsville Road in Hebron
for 1 1/2 years and then the family moved into the house on Orchard St. in Elsmere that was once owned by my grandparents!
I went to Dorothy Howell Elementary for 3 yrs and then they
changed the district and for the next 2 yrs I went to Miles Elementary in Erlanger. The middle school I went to was called
Tichenor Middle School, but that building used to be the original building for Lloyd High. My father went there as a teenager
in the early 60's!
I lived in Elsmere from 1968 - 1993, I graduated from Lloyd
High in 1986 with full 24 credits and in the top 80 of 200 students that graduated that year! :~)
Worked for 20 years at several jobs through out my life and
after my car wreck in 2000, and then the company (a job I really enjoyed )I worked for downsized in 2002, I decided
it was time to make time for hubby and me.
So in 2002, I started a few adventures that keeps me
home and taking care of the house & my hard working hubby!! I first became an Independent Avon Sales Representative
and then I began my Genealogy Research adventures..
Now in 2005, I've moved on from selling Avon to going to College! I'm studying for Medical
Coding & Billing and will be graduating in June 2006... with Honors. UPDATE... I graduated in June
2006 with a 4.0 gpa with Honors!!! :O)
My passion is in Genealogy, it's like doing a puzzle and
you're always looking for that last piece to fit! :~) I've been doing geanealogy off and on for over 10 years
but have been seriously into it since 2000!
In Feb 2010 we got the news that hubby's place of employment was closing so by April
2010 he was out of a job. After long discussions we decided to follow the equipment to North Carolina for him to get a job
at the parent company. So as of May 2010 we have been here in Kernersville, NC.
It's a bit different and nothing like my beloved state of Kentucky, but I can adapt.
:O) Still doing genealogy and working at the new career I trained for!!
So I guess the next adventure is looking forward to retirement in oh let's say 20 yrs!!

Below you will find a photo of my old house my family lived in for 27 yrs.
The first photo is an old real estate photo of what the house looked like in 1959 when my grand parents owned it!
My parent's bought the house around 1968/1969 and by the 1980's we made several changes & improvements to the house.
We added a large family room off to the left, a large 2 car garage off to the left of the original 1 car garage w/a larger
parking area in back. Enclosed the front area and made a sun room, added a small deck in front of the new family room.
Then on the back side of the family room we added another porch with a nice flower bed and built a gazeebo and the end of
it.
