Augusto V. Consing is a United States Chess Federation
certified Club Level Tournament Director and directs all USCF rated events
for the Williamstown Chess Club.

at Drury High School 10/26/95. 26 wins for Mr. Consing, no losses and 1
draw;
- Mr. Consing co-directed the Bennington Chess
Club's White Knight non-rated beginners tournament 11/12/97
- Mr. Consing directed the Williamstown
Chess Club Championship, 11/95 - 5/96 11 players - 6 trophies;
- The Williamstown Chess Club was part of the Western
New England Chess League and fielded 5 players who played matches as follows:
- 1/96 vs Hadley CC: won 3 -1;
- 3/96 vs Pittsfield CC drew 2-2;
- 5/96 vs Amherst CC lost 1.5 -2.5
- 5/96 vs Amherst CC lost 1-3;
- Mr. Consing directed the Drury Open Tournament,
North Adams, MA 4/13/96; 35 players; $350 prizes + 3 trophies;

Mr. Consing, Director of the Williamstown Chess
Club, has been a member of the Board Of Directors of the Western Massachusetts
Chess Association from 2/25/96 - 2/22/98. On 2/22/98, Mr. Consing was elected
to the position of President of the Western Massachusetts Chess
Association.
Mr. Lance Latimer (a long-standing member
of the Williamstown Chess Club) was elected to the Board of Directors
of the Western Massachusetts Chess Association on 2/16/97.
