MACROSS Dvd
This all time fav. anime is now in DVD which has been digitally remastered by AnimEigo. This is the Macross Japan only chapter which means its contents may vary from the Robotech series. Images have been digitally enhanced..clearing all the coffee stains,..dust etc More......
I just saw a shop in Sungei Wang selling the MACROSS DvD for Rm225(in Japanese) but not digitally remastered like the Animeigo. The shop is located right in the middle of the same floor with the video arcades.
► I have obtained the DVD MACROSS FLASHBACK 2012 Anime movie. Since I am a Macross fan, I would say it was an excellent movie. A total spin-off from it's predecessors, MACROSS aka ROBOTECH, in this MACROSS Flashback Movie, all characters that s killed is re-created in a diff. story..a little. Nevertheless great artworks on the SDF-1 & the veritech fighters dog fights & when prep. for take-off. Simply fantastic!!

ROBOT CARNIVAL
ROBOT CARNIVAL, anyone who likes just pure anime, quality would rate it excellence... This DVD is a combination of more than 10great animators from MACROSS all the way to Gundam. This compilation is where all these animators would each make a short story anime. Just to show off their ability... skilss are beautiful. Not to meantion great soundtracks was also incorporated. Director Katsuhiro Otomu also directed a segment of it. Yes, he's the great director of AKIRA. Strangely, most of the anime does not involve speech..just actions & soundtracks... Great to have it.... My fav. anime in Robot Carnival was Presence, a very meaningful anime. Short but great.

To Na Ri No TOTORO
Hm...TOnari No TOTORO... thats one of a classic anime. Not ever one soul in Japan never heard of it. STudio GHIBLI has made some awesome anime, from TOTORO, NAUSICAA(excellent anime too), Princess Mononoke all the way to KiKi's Delivery Service. It's soundtrack is even worth getting! Some how Hayao Miyazaki seems to emphasize on nature anime, with plenty of tree's, flowers & cute animals.... I came across a Nausicaa website where you can download pics..clips,check it out. It's worth it. Definitely a tribute! The best fan-website for Studio Ghibli yet !!! Anyway, even KiKi's Delivery Service is good. But my fav. still is Nausicaa & TOtoro. Nausica has more of an action anime, with war & battles against the big worms(called "kap chung" in canntonese)..hehehe.

SAKURA WARS The Movie
Any of you locals that have seen the series on ASTRO would love this... For those who hasn't seen it, well Sakura Wars is about a Japan(figures..) during the colonial era(no link whatsoever) in which there is fierce demons/mutants trying to take over Tokyo. And it is up to the Team Hana(also know as Imperial Capital Defense) which consist of several young girls with powers..except the captain which was a guy(figures..hehe). In, Team Hana each of them pilots their own mecha(known as KOBU). Of course the lead actress is Sakura herself, a sweet young girl whom has always tried to keep the team together. BTW, the team acts as a group of dancers but in the background they are the Imperial Capital Defence !! Direct from IG Productions Japan, it seems that this movie was developed extensively with CGI... way cool... looks even better with digitized pics... hurrah for the computer age !! This is a perfect collection for all Sakura fans... GET IT !!!

ORGUSS Nikick
This anime toys is made from the famous Japanese company TAKATOKU. TAKATOKU has manufactured some of the most prized toys of this century. Too bad they went bankrupt due to some mismanagement, if only they were to stick around a bit longer then would they know that now their MACROSS toys are a super hit & now every company is out making toys similar to theirs... Anyhow, I managed to get my hands on ORGUSS NIKICK, this is a villian but among all the ORGUSS toys, this one is the best as it's legs hinches are made of solid die-cast steel at the back!!!. Also it's legs is similar to Takatoku Macross veritechs, which are also die-cast iron. Very heavy toy & cool design outlook. Definitely worth getting it. Other ORGUSS are prone to break at their legs due to their design of the mecha yet this is diff. It's design makes it durable & solid. heavy & big. It stands at 7 inchess tall..
