Polly Wolly Parrot

Polly Wolly Parrot

Once there was a parrot named Polly Wolly. She loved crackers and carrots, and when she wanted a cracker she said Polly Wolly wants a cracker. She was a big colourful parrot.

Once in a while her owner would let her fly outside. Her owner gave her a watch and told her to be back by 6.pm and she was always on time. One day she got caught in a storm and found a hole in the tree and stayed there till the storm was over and didn't get home till the next day. When she got home her owner asked where she had been and why she didn't come home. She said she got caught in a storm and spent the night in a tree. "I got home as quick as I could," she told her owner. Her owner said, "Get in your cage."

The next time she was let out she flew to a new owner, a 10 year old boy named Tony. She lived there for five years then he died. Tony cried and was so upset his mom bought him a new bird and when he grew up he had his own Bird Center.
