Special: The Colt .45 was first made in 1911. It continued to be used by the US Army until 1982. It is now widely availiable as a civilian and law enforcement pistol.

USA Bayonets:
Almost every rifle in WWII had a bayonet for melee attacks although the only American rifle that could hold one was the M1 Garand. The M1 Carbine didn't use bayonets until the Korean War. Bayonets could be easily removed from the gun making them into very effective combat knives. They were also used as tools. They could tighten screws, dig holes, and more.
