Android 17's life isnt a very nice one. He, like 18, starts out as a human. 17 was in a gang and was a regular punk. Dr. Gero took 17 and 18 in and "experimented" on them. Android 17 was made superior to 18, yet they were both fiercely strong. Android 17 kills his creator every single time. Its actually kind of amusing. First, he kills Dr. Gero in the regular anime series. After Android 19 and 20 lost their battle, 20 retreated back to his laboratory. Android 17 has a very "bad" attitude. 17 finally got tired of 20 and lunged his hand through 20s mechanical body. If that was not enough, 17 also kicked 20s head right off his shoulders. At least it wasnt messy. (20's body was an android, no blood.) Then, 17 jumped on 20's head extinguishing the doctors life for good. After this little incident, 17 and 18, along with 16, left the scene. Shortly after this, Vegeta engaged in a battle with 18. 17 promised he wouldnt interfere as long as the other Z-Fighters wouldnt get involved. However, Trunks couldnt take the sight of his father being mutilated. Trunks rushed to the scene. Like 17 said, he was "forced" to engage in the battle. 17 easily over whelmed Tein and Piccolo. 18 took care of Trunks. After this battle the group of Androids left in order to find Goku. 17 thought it would be better if they found a car to drive. 17 has a very adventurous attitude. After terrorizing some people, the Androids made it to Gokus house. They then realized he must have been warned so they went to the next sensible place, Kame House. Thats where Piccolo challenged 17 to a fight. After finding a place to hold their monstrous battle, they started. At first it seemed as though Piccolo was holding his own against 17; however, 17 had the advantage. Cell was gaining in his search for the Androids. This fight was leading him right to the Androids. Piccolo tried to defend 17 from Cell, but he was too tired from his fight with 17. When it all looked hopeless, 16 intervened. 16 and Cell's strength was almost equal. 17 felt as though he was safe. However, Cell traveled underground to reach 17. By the time anyone could help, 17 was absorbed. 17s demise eventually led to the completion of Cell. After Cell was destroyed, all the people that were killed by Cell were revived. That includes everyone's "favorite" android, Android 17. However, 17 didnt return just then. He lived by himself for years after that. 17 makes his debut again in Dragonball GT. The dead Dr. Gero and Dr. Myu worked on another creation, Android 17. They figured that if there was one person alive and the same person dead, a gate would open between our world and theirs. Somehow, they were correct. They made "Heck's Fighter 17". All of the evil people that were killed in the past retreat back to earth. This is where 17 kills Dr. Gero again. Dr. Myu orders 17 to kill Dr. Gero. 17 kicks Dr. Gero's head clean off his shoulders. This new 17 merged with the old one. Not before the new one killed Krillin. The enraged 18 attacked this new 17, but he was still strong. When the two Android 17s merged they created "Super 17". Super 17 was a very strong opponent. Goku eventually defeated him with the Dragon Fist. This is the last time 17 is seen.
