The Question:
He was in Italy in 1908 when he received an urgent summons from the
Nizam of Hyderabad asking for his help in controlling the flooding waters
of the Musi River. He rushed there and was not only successful in halting
the flood, he also built two huge lakes, the Hussain Sagar and the Himayat
Sagar to hold the excess waters of the river. He was honoured by installing
a bust of his by the banks of the Hussain Sagar which stands till today.
