I've decided to do news media coverage of Congressional House Dist. 11 & 12, and so I pose the same four (4) questions to you below. I would ask a 5th question about the various bailouts, but all 4 of you are against it, as I recall -and I will report this in my news coverage unless I am told otherwise.

Please note that although I'm polite & respectful towards the moderate democrat incumbent below, I (and my web paper) are conservative: THEREFORE you all (even you, Doug, a democrat) can expect *positive* news coverage in your house races. Please don't forget that I gave most or all of you these questions *before* I gave them to Rep. Castor -so you should have more time to return quick and easy answers -and this should help you answer *other* constituents.

Question 1 below: I ask about the websites not being updated -as with Castor, if any of you are not finished with your campaign website, I will try and give you time to get up to speed -and not give critical press on this.

Question 2: News reports and a review of your campaign literature show all of the Republicans as having publicly stated you all will refuse any special health package that your job has -unless it is offered to your constituents - so, I've logged an answer for all of you except you, Doug. Are you in too?

Questions 3 and 4: These are economic toughies, but as conservatives, I expect you all will have no trouble agreeing that the 2 laws I am seeking in my Higher-Ed op-ed are correct -but feel free to disagree if you like.

If you have any questions on the four (or 5) questions I seek to report in my news coverage, contact me, and I will try to help you understand the issues at hand. (Speaking is a lot faster than email; Print out this short email for further reference, if you can -I think it may be helpful to your respective campaign.)

(Translation: "Thank you, Connor -and happy Thanksgiving to you all as well!)

PS: Although  I told you in our phone call, I forgot to explicitly mention it in my letter here: Since I have 'heavy-weight' credentials among the conservatives -and will have their ear, I will try my best to do a good job, regardless of whether or not my paper endorses your candidate. (So, I'm including that reassurance in my reply with a cc to your colleagues -to help them be of good cheer.) I hope my questions help you all to 'distill' some issues of import for your future endeavors.

Dear Connor: This is Gordon Watts with whom you spoke a moment ago; thank you for taking the time to try and answer some questions for my upcoming news coverage. Although I am writing you now in my official capacity as a news reporter, nonetheless, to let you and your bosses know that my intentions are not malevolent with regards to "hit-and-run" news coverage (my paper's conservative leanings notwithstanding), please see the recent letter to the editor I wrote in support of Kathy Castor:

(Letters To The Editor: The Tampa Tribune, Published: October 19, 2008)

Ironically, a 'featured' letter (or small op-ed) published almost exactly a year later will help you properly see the questions I am asking (and help you avoid retrning a bad answer, thus helping you avoid getting 'gigged' by my news coverage). I have a POV -like everybody, but I don't write to make an 'attack ad' out of my news.

(Letters To The Editor: The Tampa Tribune, Published: October 18, 2009)

QUESTION 1: Why is your website not detailed on where Rep. Castor stands on many issues? (You told me that you all are in the process of updating the website, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt; I too have had that same problem and understand. Rep. Castor takes stances on 'neutral' issues like public transportation and ethics, but for an example of how one might 'do this right,' see my old campaign website:

QUESTION 2: Will Rep. Castor be willing to take no 'special' Health care plan beyond what her constituents would get? (For perspective on this, let me remind you that both Dennis Ross, Eddie Adams, and Randy Wilkinson, all running for U.S. Congress, have pledged to *not* take the plan they would normally get with their job -and can be verified by either a news search or by calling their campaign offices -and to see exactly what I'm asking here: See this short 1:20 video on U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan's (D-MO) facing this identical question in his Town Hall meeting on Healthcare. (Careful: This short vid is very funny! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfRbMO_qmEE )

QUESTION 3: Will Rep. Castor oppose pouring Federal Tax Dollars into Higher-Ed for things like guaranteed student loans, grants?
QUESTION 4: Will she support equal bankruptcy protections for students' loans (like credit card users get) -and immediate forgiveness of any overcharge that students were charged?

(Careful here, Connor! This is not as easy as it looks.) See, rather, my Op-Ed special to the Wall Street Journal on this subject: It is short, but cites its sources:

I'm not saying your boss has to give the answer that I want -only that I want her to see both sides so she doesn't get gigged by 'attack reporting' dangers.

PS: If you all are liberals, you will be glad to know that I give respectful but *very* critical news coverage of Sean Hannity -and *document* his foibles -on my web-paper (see the 'Politics' section -and/or read the op-ed above *carefully*) --and, I sternly oppose Jeb Bush's feeding tube initiative in an all-out offensive:
COURT ACTION: "AMICUS CURIAE BRIEF BY AMICUS GORDON WATTS in support of
Appellee, Michael Schiavo’s petition to affirm"

PRESS RELEASES:

Ironically, I almost saved Terri's life (translation: Conservatives should not complain either) -coming much closer to winning in court than either Gov. Bush or Terri's own blood family (but I didn't support feeding tube methods -which I deemed as 'cheating') -Observe:

So, I'm telling you this, not to brag, but rather to show you that:

* I'm not prejudiced against liberals (even though I, myself, am conservative)
* I'm a country bumpkin, but I'm not a 'dumb' county bumpkin, so I'm not likely to be a waste of your time to answer my questions.

Thank you, in advance, for your responses to my planned news coverage of your House congressional race.

Get Truth.

"First, they [Nazis] came for the Jews. I was silent. I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists. I was silent. I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists. I was silent. I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me." (Martin Niemöller, given credit for a quotation in The Harper Religious and Inspirational Quotation Companion, ed. Margaret Pepper (New York: Harper &Row, 1989), 429 -as cited on page 44, note 17, of Religious Cleansing in the American Republic, by Keith A. Fornier, Copyright 1993, by Liberty, Life, and Family Publications.

(Some versions have Mr. Niemöller saying: "Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up, because I was a Protestant," and yet other versions have him saying that they came for the Socialists, Industrialists, schools, the press, and/or the Church; however, it is certain that he did say something along these lines.) Actually, they may not have come for the Jews first, as it's far more likely they came for the prisoners, mentally handicapped, and other so-called "inferiors" first -as historians tell us -so they could get "practiced up"; however, they did come for them -due to the silence of their neighbors -and due, in part, to their own silence. So: "Speak up now, or forever hold your peace."-
