The History Of GreYMürE

The "Aggressive Black Metal" Band known as Greymüre was
spawned in New Zealand in the year of 2001
after a long history of the members being in various
other bands , ranging from grunge/rock to doom Metal.
Greymüre vocalist / rhythm guitarist Taleim & Drummer and
percussionist Martin grew to know each other from a
friendship that grew at school and
seemed to generally share the same musical
taste and therefore decided to form a band.
This was with the line up of Thomas Tololi on drums,
Taleim on Bass & Martin on guitar!!!.
After many years of "replacements" in the band ,
the "evolvement" of their sound & constant "rivalry"
with local band Refractory ; Greymüre was formed with
Taleim Edwards on vocals and rhythm guitar , Martin
Robinson on Drums and Percussion and Taleim's brother
Maleik on Lead Guitars and Keyboards.
Constant "jamming" occurred for many months with these
three before firstly seriously deciding on a permanent
bass player and keyboardist ; and secondly on their
musical style.
In late December 2001 , Daniel Webster , who was
previously in a band with Martin , was asked by the band
to join them and he soon became their new bass player.

They are still looking for a keyboardist but are
sure they will have one soon as a few people have
expressed interest in it!!! (If you fit the bill e-mail us).
Lets hope a Demo is hopefully in the "pipelines"
soon...........
