The Watcher
This program is used to monitor the computer for
running of files and checking the passwording for tasks
defined in the Task Watcher,
updating the Logfile, and
monitoring the running of the security system. It is
normal to see two instances of it running on the computer
as it must communicate with itself to see that a user has
not tried to turn it off. It also watches that the files for the security system are not deleted and recreates them if needed. No external functions are offered here, it is fully a automated response system to respond to hacking. It also links up with the DOS system files to insure that the boot up of windows was authorized. (this refers to the numeric password check in DOS if activated) This is not to be confused with the Task Watcher, part of the Security Control. |
