Shelley, supposedly an atheist, and other poets intuitively recognized Advaita, loosely translated as Non-Duality, Non-Dualism or Monism, realized The Ultimate Truth, THE SELF, The Changeless One, The Substratum, The Eternal, The Permanent, The Imperishable,The I-AM-THAT-I-AM, THE I, in which the impermanent ever-changing mind-body complex, the pseudo-I, the impostor parading as the ego self or the individual, time and space, the world and the universes, the one God of every religion, the personal Gods, Goddesses and Deities, thoughts and feelings and emotions, words spoken and written, all languages, acts and deeds, all phenomena appear, enact the shadow-play for some time and disappear. The cycle of birth and death goes on and on for ever until either through relentless self-investigation and self-enquiry or through total surrender and submission to The Supreme Being, Which Is Absolute Consciousness and Peace, the individual snaps out of his hypnotic trance of this dream of life and finally merges in The Infinite to escape from the cycle of birth and death. The raindrop merges in the Ocean.
