replies to Chief Magistrate
Holder-Allen
Dear Editor,
I can assure Magistrate
Holder-Allen, Kit Nascimento and the owner of a
television station that interrupts his newscast to read
political commentary that others write for him that every
single judge in this country reads all the newspapers, and
they know who are the ones often committing libel, who after
committing libel cries out that they have been libeled, and
who think they can fool the public.

Former Chief Magistrate Holder-Allen
Let's start with Kit Nascimento. He writes a letter to SN
and claims that I libeled him. But he sees nothing libelous in
describing me as having a sick mind.
He castigates the judges for not dealing effectively with
those who commit libel as if he is not guilty of this sin.
Nascimento could get away with his libelous remark because I
have a broad mind and couldn't be bothered with suing anyone.
I just want to write and expose wrong-doing and fight to
change my country.
Now in yesterday's KN,
suspended Chief Magistrate got way with murder because she
knows I would not sue my own paper for libel.
But she should know I can sue her and not the paper. She
referred to me as a retard. Immediately I asked three lawyers,
given my status as a university teacher, if I could sue for
slander upon a public figure. They all agreed calling a public
figure a retard is libelous material.
As a lawyer the magistrate should know that but apparently
not all lawyers are learned ones. There are so many parts of
her letter that are libelous. She should be forever grateful
for KN for publishing her slanderous letter.
Now how ironic it is that, in that very letter, she
threatens to sue me and Kaieteur
in the future. Here is someone who libeled me, boasts of how
she is a leader, then threatens to sue.
Let me boldly address Ms.
Holder-Allen. If she ever gets back on the bench (which seems
remote, thank God!) and delivers illogical and incongruous
bail assignments and sentencing decisions, I will not let up
in my criticism, and I will seek the intervention of her
superiors.
The public has to be protected from
criminals who must be handled with zero tolerance by the
judiciary. If the judiciary fails, the media must step in.
Don't ever for a moment think that the threat of libel will
scare me. My writings are vetted by lawyers each day, and,
once they are cleared of libel, then I will write on you, Ms.
Holder-Allen. That is a promise.
Ms. Holder-Allen's letter is full of narcissism but, as
someone who studied Sigmund Freud extensively and intensively,
I know where narcissism originates from. It stems from the
failure in the search for identity and the person finds
commitment and belonging in glorifying him/herself. Before I
go, you must make up your mind as to what type of power I
have.
In one paragraph, you seem to think that I had something to
do with your suspension. Then in another paragraph, you tell
me you are a leader in your community and I cannot do anything
to stop that. Look, if I had anything to do with your
interdiction from duties, it would have happened a long time
ago though I must confess that I am relieved that you are not
on the bench.
I will attempt out of love of people and country to stop
you in anything you do that is injurious to this country that
I love. Whether an officer of the law is conscious of it or
not, their soft treatment of criminals can have deleterious
effects on society. Believe me, Ms. Holder-Allen, many persons
of immense responsibility are appalled at some of your
judgments. But you don't hear from them. You hear from
Frederick Kissoon. If only they weren't scared then you would
have known how frightening are the implications of judicial
incompetence in this country.
The reason I haven't written anything in an attempt stop
you as a leader in your community (as you say you are) is
because I don't know which community you lead. If it is a
social club of old people who are taught the origin of the
universe before they leave this world then, fine, you are
doing a good job. But if you head a community whose actions
could endanger this society, then I will see it as my
patriotic duty to try legally and morally as possible to stop
you. Trust me. I will. Isn't it you in your letter who said
that you think I may have something to do with your
suspension? Finally, Ms. Holder-Allen, you confess that you
have never seen me at all the social functions you attend.
Have you ever wondered why? I am not an egoist. I am not an
identity-seeker.
I avoid the limelight. But if you come by the
seawall any night, you will certainly see me.
