Mind boggling
There
would have been riots and looters and all kinds of accusations. The
country would have experienced upheavals of all sorts. But two poor struggling sugar workers of Indian descent have disappeared and there is no mass outcry.

The
government has not thought it wise to call in Scotland Yard, the FBI, the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police and whoever else is good at investigation. Why?
Are Indian people expendable and insignificant? After
every election they are the target of the PNCR, they get killed or maimed,
their businesses burnt, and many are robbed, etc. It is mind boggling that the army and police never ever seem to come up with anything as long as Indians are getting the bottom end of the stick. And this has been going on for 28 years of PNC misrule and more than 13 years of the PPP/Civic in government.
This
I believe anywhere else in the world would be totally unacceptable and
would have been resolved by intelligent means. I do not believe for one
second that there are only numbskulls in the Police Force in Guyana. There
must be a few smart trained police. Why
therefore are so many Indians getting killed or go missing and the
killers, perpetrators, and criminals never ever seem to get caught? This
is too much for anyone to accept. It
therefore gives the impression that something sinister must be going on.
Somebody, political party and groups, must be involved. It
is too glaring that the perpetrators don't ever get caught. And even the
army and police always seem to be running around in circles with out a
clue as to what is going on. How
many more innocents must lose their lives before something tangible is
done? Four Indian fathers have disappeared in the space of five months. Who
is going to take care of their children and wives? Who will provide for
them? When will the perpetrators be brought to justice? How many more must
die before people start taking the law into their own hands? My
heart cries for these children who have been left to suffer for only God
knows what reason and for how long. These mothers who are housewives and
whose husbands have been murdered will have to go out and find something
to do to take care of their family. Those
who silently and tacitly give their consent to these criminals who behave
like sub-humans will know what goes round will come round. I
call on the Government of Guyana, the Police Force and whoever can help to
find these perpetrators who killed these fathers and to do so quickly. I
call on the churches and all other organisations to speak up against these
atrocities being conducted against Indian people in Guyana. All
with humane hearts must condemn outrageous acts like these before other
innocent fathers are killed. Please
I appeal to your sense of justice and godly traits to do something
urgently to stop this onslaught. Related Links Had the Target Special Squad not been disbanded, the situation in Buxton would have ended a long time ago. Kaieteur News dated Thursday
