Armed bandits early Friday morning invaded a Tucville home, placed a gun to a boy’s head and tied up his mother before carting off at least GUY$2.5 million in jewellery and cash.

Placed a gun to a boy’s head

Vidya Pierre, her two sons- five and 12 years old- were at home when the gunmen wrenched grilled and wooden back doors and gained entry around 2 AM.

When they went upstairs, one of them cuffed an elderly woman in her hip, tied Vidya Pierre’s face with a hammock and placed a gun to the five year old boy’s head.

The bandits demanded valuables and a gun. Pierre said she had no gun.

They also entered one of the boys school bag and packed it up with liquor from the bar.

In addition to the cash and jewellery, they also stole cameras, cellular phones and other valuables.

“The children are traumatized and couldn’t go to school today,” a close friend of the family related.
