This website tells of the short but fascinating life of one of history's greatest rulers, Cleopatra. From 51 B.C. until the day of her death, August 12th, 30 B.C., Cleopatra ruled as Queen of Egypt. She went through several hardships during her rule. Civil war and the growing Roman Empire were just a few of these. Through all of this, she still managed to keep her high position in Egypt. The day of her death marked the end of the Egyptian Monarchs. Few would have thought that two thousand years after her death that she would be known as one of Egypt's greatest rulers.
