SEASON SUMMARY:
The Reps finally broke the Powers' stronghold on HBWRL championship, by winning three in a row-on the road-in the Season 11 World Series, after dropping two of the series' first three games. The series was the mirror image/opposite of the Season 10 Series, in which the Powers did the same to the Reps. However, it was a banner year for the Powers as well, as they set records with five consecutive playoff berths (Seasons 7-11) and lowest ever team ERA (2.04). The World Series, as in the previous season, pit the best offense (Reps) against the best pitching in league history (the three-time defending World Series champion Powers) Analyst Jak Myers, who went 5-13 in his debut season with the Red Dawgs, predicted-again-that good pitching beats good hitting. That didn't hold in Season 11. Eddie Collins, Lou Gehrig, and Season 11 MVP Ted Williams showed that they could hit Powers pitching when it counted. And, for now anyway, the Reps regained the control of the league that had resided with the Powers for three consecutive seasons.
