Ontario Convention April 21-23, 2000

Sarnia, Ontario, Canada

We had overnight cooping, thanks to

Don Peterson & Jim Hupp

Our judges for the show...

Val Horning of New York

Mary Lou Eisel of Ontario

Barb Butler of Ohio

Susan Lybolt of Michigan

judged the pet contest

We even had cavy races, here are a couple of entries!

Then we all cleaned up and went to the banquet where we enjoyed a wonderful homemade dinner. After dinner is when the "REAL" fun began.....

We started with the Ladies Choice Easter Bonnet parade. Any lady that made a hat could pick the gentleman of her choice to sport this creation! And boy did we have some creations!

Do you recognize our District 8 Rep, Mike Ginder, sporting an Easter Bonnet?

The we had the "DOCM's Choice Sow in Show." This is chosen each year, it must be a sow and must be owned by a lady exhibitor. This year Alaina Holstege of Michigan was the winner.

Lovely award don't you think? Just what you want in your Living Room.......

But wait....I was the lucky recipient of the "Most Outrageous Award" - They make it different each year so you get to keep it forever.......yeah right!

There was also the new inductee to the DOCM club which was Denise's husband, Bill.

Then we had the Young Sow Club take up a collection to buy a whipped cream pie to use on Bruce. This is the results!

When all was said & done, we had a wonderful time in Canada!

Thanks Ontario Cavy Club for a great "wheek-end"!
