This photo of the Marquez family was taken in Saticoy, California (Ventura County) in 1920, prior to the family returning to Chihuahua, Chih. Mexico to live.

The Ponciano Marquez family left Chihuahua in 1910 and traveled to Flint, Texas.  After staying a couple of years in Texas, they moved to Saticoy, California where Ponciano built a two-story home for his family.  The family returned to Chihuahua sometime after 1920.

Jose and Salome Ramirez stayed in Saticoy when her parents and the family returned to Mexico to live.  Her brother Salvador also stayed to marry and raise a family in California.
