Fairwell

Recently it has become pretty clear to me that the tone of help in Yahoo chat help has changed. It used to be a pretty nice place to come to and spend time at. Sadly however lately that has not been the case. More and more often attackers come in with booter programs and flood programs, and offline PM bombs and even launch attacks against email addresses if found. Some even try lame cloning of IDs. If this is the level the rooms have degraded to, there seems to be little point in remaining active in them. I did not come to chat to fight with people. Indeed I come to try to help people and also learn from others myself while helping. I have progressed to the point I would suspect few would disagree that I am one of the more knowledgeable there. Yet I see the content of the room going downhill as well in that same length of time. I have better things to do than to sit around and watch people call each other names and launch wave after wave of programs in an attempt to boot someone off the servers. I have better things to do than to have to clean out my Yahoo Messenger stored IM folder each time I start it, and I really have much better things to do than to remove virus filled attachments from my email boxes and then go and block senders who send them to me.

I however realize that some may still be out there and find what I write useful. So I have made provisions to try to keep the content of the pages that were really unique to my webpage available on someone elses website. ( www.nhyrvana.com/~e2c ) These pages are hers to manage as she sees fit so if they become a point of problem for her she can delete them if she wishes - with my blessing and approval. The NHYRVANA site was in my opinion the best location to have these pages and all inquiries concerning them as far as linking or copies should be directed toward NHYRVANA. I am not going to offer additional support for subjects covered in the pages and they are provided as is. If links to not work you can tell NHYRVANA if you wish but it is up to her willingness to update them as I will not be in the day to day management of the page contents. If in the future I see a reason to add more content to the site I will do so on more or less the same terms as the existing content. However due in part to email attacks ( virus attachments ) and other things I will not be placing an email link on the contents of the pages there. I may provide a form to contact me but I am not sure yet about that even.

As it stands at this point the webpages at www.geocities.com/easy_2_confuse_gt will no longer be available by 3-25-2002 . The pages at the tripod URL may be available for a slightly longer period of time as their fate has not been totally decided at this time. They will however soon be undergoing at the very least a reduction in size and scope. The primary offering of my webpage content will be at the NHYRVANA URL above.
