Flash Screens.

Instructions:

Page includes JPG image of Flash Screen as a rough example of the look of the Shockwave Flash file. To look at a running example click on the image desired and it will open a new browser window with the running Shockwave Flash file of your choice. Close browser window or choose the download link provided on that page for zipped copy of the SWF file. See page below for information about how to add Shockwave content to HTML pages. All Shockwave content requires the FLASH plug in to be installed on a browser.

All of these files are freeware as far as I know (except top). I did not make any of these Welcome screens.

Code to embed Flash in HTML pages.

Copy and paste code in box below directly into your page or to NOTEPAD. Do not use page source! The source below has been altered to display correctly in HTML format. Change filename_here, size, and if to loop or not shown in example code as required. Then copy and paste into HTML page content.

  • - Options - Instead of FILENAME_HERE.swf supply 19.swf - 44.swf - 51.swf - 64.swf - 77.swf or file name of other SWF file.

  • - Instead of loop="true" you can also set it to loop="false"

  • - Instead of width=480 height=320 you can adjust size as required.

<EMBED SRC="FILENAME_HERE.swf" swLiveConnect="FALSE" width="480" height="320" QUALITY="autohigh" BGCOLOR="#000000" loop="true" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi? P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"> </embed>

As far as making your own Shockwave Flash screen or locating other sources please feel free to search from the link below. There are several programs available for making Flash format files. They range from the simplest to in my opinion to work which is CoffeeCup Firestater, to the inventors program Macromedia Flash which is costly and extensive both in scope and to learn. Below you will see URL links for the four programs I have tried.

You can locate websites for more ShockWave Flash downloads with the Google search below. Searches open in new browser windows.
