Instructions:
This program generates passwords by chance. Especially if you need several or many passwords that no one can guess, this little program can be helpful. You can: - determine how long the password is supposed to be (1... 20 characters) - whether normal characters, capitals or numbers or a mixture of them shall be allowed to be in the password - how many of each character type (1..20) - how many passwords at the same time (1..1000) - copy a password to the clipboard (If you generated more than one, you must first select one from the list) - save the generated passwords to a file. You can determine path and filename. - determine, which special characters to be used in the passwords from the dialog "Select special characters", they are all selected by default. New in v. 2.3: Save Options For direct import of the generated password list into database tables you can now decide how the list is supposed to be formatted: with number prefix and tab or without or with comma separator, and whether the date is supposed to be saved too. None of the settings are saved to disk! If you choose comma separator, you cannot include the comma into the special character table. Each time you changed the settings, you have to generate a new list of passwords, the old list is deleted! Attention: Don't forget to delete the password file or to move it to a safely stored disk to prevent your passwords from being stolen. ************************************************************* This program is FREEWARE, enjoy! Basic Install Instructions ( done by me ) Unzip password.zip file on Drive C: default folder will be C:\password browse to this folder using My Computer or Windows Explorer, and right click on the file password ( C:\password\password.exe ) then select Create Shortcut. Drag Shortcut you made to your desktop by holding the left mouse button on it and dragging the file icon to the desktop. This will provide you with clickable link to start the program up with. To make this program start up when you start your computer click the start button, go to settings, then Taskbar and Start Menu, click Advanced, then Add, and browse to the C:\password folder and shortcut and add it to your startup folder. If you happen to get error messages you may need VB Runtime updates in Windows. See the file below or, go to Windows Update for file updates. select product updates.
