Welcome to the website for The Hertford company of Archers.
Our club ground is at Haileybury College in Hertford Heath, we
have a strong membership covering a wide age range.
Our members shoot: Recurves, Compounds and Longbows.We also travel
to other clubs for competition and league matches.
History of Our Club
In 1973 the founding of the now Hertford Company of Archers was
the brainchild of Mr Alf Webb. He obtained the help of some friends, Mr & Mrs H Gordon, Mr & Mrs E Jupp, and
Mr P Stubbs. This became the steering comittee and by June 1973 there were 11 seniors & 4 Junior members. The venue was
Hertford Town Football club, West street, shooting on Sundays only.
In March 1975 the club moved to Haileybury where the club
still shoots today.
