Our Love Toward God

This is  the second part of a message that my
sister Pamela and I ministered on several years
ago. She ministered on The Love Of God, and I
ministered on Our Love Toward God. To view

"We love Him, because He first loved us"(1 John4:19)
Thank God that He did first love  us. Jesus said,
we are to love Him with our whole heart! How do
we know that we love the Lord with our whole heart?

The bible says in 1 John 5:3,"For this is the love of
God, that we keep his commandments: and His
commandments are not grievous." One sure way to
know that we  love God is to keep His commandments.

(1 John 3:16)" hereby perceive we the love of God
because He laid down His life for us: and we ought
to lay down our lives for the brethren." God expects
us to love one another.

The Bible talks about how can we say that we love
God, whom we haven't seen, if we can't love our
brethren whom we have seen. Our love toward God
and people should grow stronger everyday.

He has done so much for His children, but some have
lost that "First Love" Jesus talks in the Bible, in
Revelations,2:4, about the church of Ephesus, how
that they had lost their first love. He tells them that
they had works, and that He had seen their labor, and
patience, but He had some what against them, they
had lost that first love.

We can labor for the Lord, we can witness door
to door, but if we have lost that first love, He
has some what against us. Can we remember
when we first got saved? That zeal, fire, and
excitement that we felt toward God. Wanting
to tell everybody about Jesus. So thrilled about
being one of Gods children.

If the storms of life, and battles seemed to have
taken that first love, we can get it back! Jesus told
the church of Ephesus, "remember therefore whence
thou art fallen, and repent and do thy first works"
Praise the Lord that we can repent to God. He tells
us if we repent He would forgive us.

If you feel that you have lost that first love
repent to God, ask for that first love back, that
zeal, that fire. He will hear your cry, and He will
answer you!

Matthew 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever
ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
