WICHITA FALLS RAILROADS FROM PAST
Our Railspot discussion group frequently addresses Wichita Falls, Tx railroading This was from Norm Metcalf:
Wichita Falls to Waurika was built by the Colorado & Southern under the name
of the Wichita Falls & Oklahoma Railway Co. It was completed from Wichita
Falls to Byers on 24 Jun 1904. Between Aug 1922 and Mar 1923 the Red River
was bridged and the line extended to a RI connection at Waurika. The entire
line was abandoned 19 Oct 1942 and the track removed by Feb 1943. See F.
