Televangelist and jackleg preacher, pat Robertson has made a bid on concessions of a diamond mine in Lberia. He apparently has cut a deal with Charles Taylor to become the sole receipient of the profits of the diamond mines in Liberia.
Pat Robertson has befriended Charles Taylor the current president of Liberia and supported of the RUF in Sierra Leone. Robertson's African business partner has been accused of funding RUF atrocities through his control of Sierra Leone's countless diamond mines: he supplies RUF units with arms in exchange for smuggled diamonds.
