I was flying in my rocket ship <br>
Heading out for Mars <br>
When I suddenly saw a flashing light <br>
Beyond the farthest star <br>
I looked it up in my old book <br>
To see what I should do <br>
It said, “I’m in trouble, Space Cadet, <br>
Boy, could I use you!” <br><br>

I am brave and stalward <br>
Pushing ever-forward, I am a Space Cadet <br>
If there’s ever trouble <br>
I’m there on the double, I am a Space Cadet <br>
Coming to the rescue <br><br>

I put my ship in hyper drive<br>
And I make off for the scene<br>
There were blue-green meanies everywhere <br>
Boy, did they look mean <br>
The first one turned his ship around <br>
And sided up to stone <br>
And I knew I’d have to fight off that, blasting one by one<br><br>

I made it to the rippled path <br>
And I made the pilot out <br>
I took him back to my spaceship <br>
