GEORGE M. ODENEAL

George M. was born in Virginia about 1802 and came to Missouri with William B. In the mid 1830's. He could have been William B.'s brother or nephew as he and his three sons are listed in Wm. B.'s will. George married Nancy Reave Sept 27, 1824, Washington Co., TN, to this union nine children were born: Mary Ann, Margaret Jane, a son that died young, a daughter that died young, Rachel, Ellen Elizabeth, George Green, Walter Hale, and John Gray. After Nancy's death George married a second time to Nancy Emeline McKay, they had no children.  All known descendants are from the last three sons George Green, Walter Hale, and John Gray.  It is believed that there are other descendants from at lest three of the daughters.  Mary Jane married Thomas Doran and they had two daughters, Nancy Ann and Sarah Elizabeth.  The parents must have died as George M. has custody of the children in the 1860 Mercer Co., MO census.  Margaret Jane married Pleasant Holt and they had seven children.  Their names are; Huldah Ann, James, Marsha Jane, George R. Rufus Marion, Isiah G. and Margaret Elizabeth.  Ellen Elizabeth married Daniel B. Rhodes and they had ten children.  Their names are; Russia A., Lafayette D. Leander K. Eldorado, Ulissus G. Crittendan Boone, Jay Otis, Alonzo R., Oscar and Eni.  The first spelling of the name is Rhodes, but Rhoads is the spelling on the tombstone.
