THE HISTORY OF "ICNC"

The Infection Control Nurses of Connecticut (ICNC) was established in 1984 through the merger of the Infection Control Association of Nurses of New Haven Country with The Infection Control Nurses of Fairfield County.

This organization was formed in order to assemble and unify the Infection Control Practitioners and other health care professionals interested in infection control in the long-term care environment and related areas and to improve the practices of infection control throughout Connecticut.
