DOTTIE WAS ADOPTED NOVEMBER 17, 2002!

Dottie is one sweet little beagle mix girl. She weighs 28 pounds and is guessed to be about 6 years old. She sat in the shelter for 2 months after having been brought in as a stray. The day we took her from the shelter into one of our foster homes, we tried to get the collar off of her that had been on her when she was found. That collar must have been on her almost her entire life. It had completely fused together to where it could not be unbuckled and had to be cut off. Thank goodness she sat still as a statue while we hacked away at her collar. We certainly didn't want to injure her in the process and had she been jumpy, well, she'd still have that nasty old collar on. She also stood perfectly still for her bath and didn't even mind having her face washed. She is just an all-around nice and mellow girl who wags her tail at everyone she meets and gets along with other dogs and cats.
