Because of the vessel being assigned to a station where it's use is occassional at best, this particular Ambassador-Class ship has been redesign with the station in mind. Crew levels are reduced, alowing more space for storage as well as increases in such things as the Impulse Drive and the Warp Drive systems. A multitude of armorment have also been equipt to the Trieste. The Trieste's uniqueness has made her an asset to the Nigalan station and has provided defensive and offensive abilities well beyond the class' original design.
