Order of The Paw

Request and Commission FAQ - Page I

1. This FAQ is here to provide a basic framework for either requesting pictures or commissioning original artwork. Clients who pursue either option are assumed to have read this document and agree to the terms within. OTP will do its best to be flexible in meeting client requests and fulfillment of the project(s), however this document is designed to protect the rights of the artist (that's me!) throughout the process. Also please note that the pricing in this FAQ refers only to commissioned work for individuals - any professional commissioned assignments will be addressed separately.

If there are any specific questions or comments, please contact me.

2. Order of The Paw (OTP) is created and wholly maintained by Jeff Block. All artwork created remains (c) Jeff Block / Order of The Paw - All Rights Reserved.

No artwork or other creative content may be reproduced, distributed or posted without my explicit permission.

3. Artwork that OTP will NOT produce:

- no artwork based on existing, copyrighted characters outside of OTP's creations i.e. anime fan art, video game fan art, etc. I don't own the copyrights to those characters and as such I have no right to attempt to profit from them. It's possible I might be willing to take a request for fan art, but that will be solely at my discretion

- any artwork that is deemed to be pornographic or excessively violent will not be produced. I have in the past done nude characters and I have no reason to avoid such requests. However I will not produce art that would not be in relatively good taste - this is and will always be solely at my discretion

- any artwork that engenders hatred of any kind (i.e. racism, anti-semitism, etc.) I realize this is generally common sense but it is stated here just for clarification. In addition, any work that would involve cruelty to animals (I'm not talking about slaying dragons here) will also be refused.

In addition, I reserve the right to accept or reject any subject matter.

4. Definition of terms

- The CLIENT is the person(s) who communicates the desire for original art from OTP

- A REQUEST is a piece of artwork performed for free, for the CLIENT. Acceptance of a request is solely at the discretion of OTP. If I choose to pursue creating the requested picture, I will reply (most commonly via email) to establish basic details. The client is free to submit specifications for the artwork, but is urged to keep this very general. The level of detail in the picture will be left to my discretion. In addition, the time period for completing the artwork is at my discretion and I give no guarantee that a request will be completed at all (if you really want to see the picture finished, it has to be a commission). The medium of the REQUEST is generally left to my discretion...however this may vary due to time available to devote to the request.

- A COMMISSION is a piece of artwork that is performed for a fee. OTP will make every effort to create a custom piece of artwork that matches the commissioned project.

- All prices listed are in U.S. currency.
