Amuro Namie is the super idol of the 1990's. She was once a member of the idol group, The Super Monkeys (the other girls formed the group, MAX) and when she joined the Komuro Tetsuya family, her popularity skyrocketed to extreme highs. Many women tried to look at her, she had the #1 grossing album in Japan of all time with "Sweet 19 Blues" in 1996, had a video game made about her, she appeared on many commercials, shows, magazines. Everything came to a halt temporarily when in 1998, she announced her marriage with TRF member, SAM and had a baby. No one knows if she can return back to that popularity but everyone is awaiting her comeback.
