Jack McConnell has displayed responsibility, intelligence and courtesy in using the World Wide Web as a tool for learning and communication. Jack McConnell is hereby recognized as an inspiring example to fellow MSPs at the Scottish Parliament, and to the citizens of Motherwell, Lanarkshire.

The Foundation believes that responsible, constructive use of the Internet, as displayed by Jack McConnell, is the surest means of protecting access to valuable electronic resources. Therefore, Jack McConnell, is hereby authorized to act as an official Web Mentor to friends, classmates and adults.

The International NetKid Foundation is a nonprofit organization which recognizes exceptional young people around the world for their contribution to online citizenship. The Foundation evaluates approximately 70,000 nominees annually and selects one award winner per month.
