Just released! The Ultimate Jackie DeShannon on EMI from the UK. No previously unreleased recordings here, but about half of the tracks haven't been issued on CD before. An odd tracklist; one wonders how they came up with it. But it is nice to have a few more tracks on CD. But we’re still waiting for the day her entire LP catalogue is released on CD, with bonus tracks!

Another recently released CD is SEX AND THE ‘60s (Varese Sarabande). Compiler by Hal Lifson writes, “This album is an audio tribute (first of its kind) to the incredibly sexy actresses and singers that made being a kid or a teen in the ’60s so memorable.” Jackie’s contribution is Come And Stay With Me. The CD also includes tracks by vixens such as Ann-Margret, Donna Loren, Nancy Sinatra, Twiggy, and Jayne Mansfield, as well as commercials and TV themes. Sounds like a swinging good time!
